Nowadays, English become the first foreign language which is most learned by people all over the world except in speaking-English-country of course because people there have learned English since they are in their mother’s womb and speak during their lifetime. English as a Lingua Franca (ELF) refers to the use of English as a common language for communication between speakers of different languages. ELF is not tied to a specific group of native speakers or culture, but rather serves as a tool for international communication. ELF is used in various contexts such as business, academia, tourism, and diplomacy, among others.

English as a Lingua Franca (ELF) has a simplified grammar compared to native English. This is because it is used primarily by non-native speakers, who often struggle with the complexities of English grammar. By simplifying the grammar, ELF allows for more efficient and effective communication between non-native speakers. For example, in ELF, there are fewer verb tenses and irregular verb forms, making it easier for non-native speakers to learn and use the language. Additionally, word order is more flexible in ELF, allowing speakers to convey their intended meaning without being bogged down by strict grammatical rules.

English has become a global Lingua Franca, facilitating communication between people of different language backgrounds due to the historical legacy of British or American imprealism which is still used by various institutions in America and the UK. English provides a neutral means of communication between different ethnic groups in a country and can be seen as a symbol of national unity or a developing country. In conclusion, the importance of English as an international Lingua Franca cannot be overstated. Its ability to connect people from diverse cultures and backgrounds has made it an invaluable tool for global communication.
